Access control is a catch all term that can refer to everything from a simple lock to a door bell to an intercom system to a complex electronic system that monitors authorized and unauthorized entry.
Information is a key element in access control. Paradox EVO can tell you when an individual card or fob has been used to enter a door.
Paradox EVO is also an alarm system. Motion detectors, glass break sensors and other such devices can detect a variety of alarm conditions. Some describe an access control system as an advanced alarm system.
This includes alarm conditions not normally included in a
standard alarm system. An
access control system restricts when certain people can and cannot
enter and even locks and unlocks door on a schedule you determine.
