If your ID is on the other side of the door, don't worry.  Try to have someone who knows you present photo ID to our locksmith when he or she arrives.  In the worst case senario we ask a police officer to attend to ensure that no laws are broken.

 

 
What is a "Re-Key"?

If your keys are lost or stolen we recommend rekeying your locks.  This means that the stolen keys will not work.  We issue you new working keys.

 

We can make all the locks in your home operate on one key.  This makes it less likely that you will be locked out.

 

Good quality locks do not need to be replaced.  We are able to simply change the combination.

 

Our qualified locksmiths will take your locks apart and fit new keys.

 

Almost all door locks can be rekeyed.  Almost every lock cylinder can be upgraded to a Mul-T-Lock Cylinder.  If you need to rekey your lock consider upgrading at the same time.  You will get more value for your money.

 

 

What is a Passage Set?
It is a door knob.  No lock, no key.  No chance of locking yourself out.  A good quality deadbolt is recommended for security.  Deadbolts can only be locked with a key.

 

Locking door knobs offer little security but are good at locking you out of your own home.  We use them in places where automatic locking is a good idea.

 

There are special types of locking door knobs for apartments.  These door knobs will not open without being unlocked.  Many apartments in Toronto do not have this type of knob.  Consider switching to a passage set.  For under $50 you could save money in the long run.
